I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember—
As a child, I wrote everything I thought was worth remembering on my hands throughout each day, and thought about them before I went to bed;
When I got into grade school, I wrote little blurbs in my school books, that, in my older years, became poems where math problems should have been;
When I got a job as a cashier in high school, I would regularly ask customers to wait for their receipts while I pulled out pieces of receipt paper for myself so I could write on them;
Today, I purchase notebooks and forget them at home;
I’ve been drafting up thoughts on damp napkins for as long as I can remember.
