This One’s on Me

I grew up in a big, little town in South Jersey, always an avid reader.  Eventually, that reader found solace in sharing her own thoughts through poetry.

I didn’t have the patience for much more    I know most people feel poetry requires more patience, but my mind process via figurative language and my consciousness streams in stanzas    until I started at university and fell in love with exploration of my own mind through prose.

Though still a poet by definition, my damp napkins have been seeing more and more prose, more and more trashcans, but the same amount of scrutiny.  After a few drafts, prose is just long poetry anyway.
